Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Experience with private equity, asset management, or related financial institutions.
  • Strong drafting and review of commercial contracts and legal documents.
  • Experience supporting an in-house Legal Department preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, contract mgmt systems, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements (NDAs, engagement letters, vendor and consulting agreements, service agreements).
  • Support legal matters across the investment platform and affiliated businesses; coordinate projects and day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with investment-related transactions and management of legal documentation.
  • Maintain contract templates, policies, and contract playbooks to improve efficiency.
  • Support regulatory compliance through documentation, recordkeeping, and entity management.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and third-party providers on various matters.
  • Assist with corporate governance activities and board-related support.
  • Contribute to legal operations initiatives and process improvements.

Our client is a leading private investment firm seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join its in-house Legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role offers broad exposure across commercial contracts, corporate governance, legal operations, and investment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise a broad range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, engagement letters, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Support legal matters across the firm's investment platform and affiliated businesses, coordinating projects and assisting with day-to-day legal operations.
  • Assist with investment-related transactions and the preparation, organization, and management of legal documentation.
  • Maintain contract templates, legal policies, and contract playbooks to improve efficiency across the Legal Department.
  • Support regulatory compliance through documentation, recordkeeping, and entity management.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and third-party service providers on a variety of legal matters.
  • Assist with corporate governance activities, including maintaining corporate records and supporting board-related matters.
  • Contribute to legal operations initiatives and process improvements across the Legal function.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Experience within private equity, asset management, investment management, banking, or another regulated financial institution, or supporting these clients within a law firm.
  • Strong experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sound professional judgment.
  • Experience supporting an in-house Legal Department or General Counsel is preferred.
  • Exposure to private funds, investment transactions, or fund formation is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, contract management systems, and AI-powered productivity tools.
