A nationally recognized investment funds practice in New York seeks an Investment Funds Associate Attorney to represent private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, and hybrid funds with alternative investment strategies. Requires JD from top-tier law school, top 20% of class, and active bar admission; 3–6 years of substantive fund formation experience.

Qualifications

JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials (Top 20% of class).
Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
3-6 years of substantive experience in investment management and fund formation.
Background in private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and funds utilizing alternative investment strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

Represent private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, hybrid, and other types of funds employing alternative investment strategies.
Provide support on matters involving retail alternative funds (BDCs, interval funds, closed-end funds).
Work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
Contribute to the firm's expanding investment funds practice, directly interacting with clients and supporting business development.
