Job summary

International AMLAW 50 Firm in New York seeks Investment Funds Associate Attorneys to handle fund formation and investment management matters. This role involves advising on private equity, hedge, real estate, and other funds employing alternative strategies, with client interaction and business development opportunities.

Qualified candidates will have a JD from a top-tier school, active bar in the relevant jurisdiction, and 3–6 years of substantive fund experience.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials (Top 20% of class).
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–6 years of substantive experience in investment management and fund formation.
• Background in private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and funds utilizing alternative investment strategies is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit are required.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, hybrid, and other types of funds employing alternative investment strategies.
• Provide support on matters involving retail alternative funds (BDCs, interval funds, closed-end funds).
• Work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
• Contribute to the firm's expanding investment funds practice, directly interacting with clients and supporting business development.
