Job summary

Illapa Search Ltd. is recruiting an Investment Funds Associate for our Chicago office. You will work on sophisticated fund formations and related transactions, advising leading sponsors, asset managers, and institutions across major markets.

You will negotiate fund documents and guide regulatory, governance, and investor issues throughout the fund lifecycle, working with experienced practitioners on high-profile matters within a globally connected practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• Experience in investment funds, private funds formation, or related corporate matters.
• Experience drafting fund documents such as LPAs, PPMs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Strong research, drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
