Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking an Investment Fund Accountant to join the Capital Formation team in Florida. The role supports the administration and operations of investment funds, including fund accounting, investor servicing, compliance and performance reporting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of professional experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and working knowledge of accounting and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 year of professional experience in fund administration or related area.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong Excel and technology skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client-service focus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with investors and internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration and operations of investment funds.
• Track investor capital contributions, disbursements, distributions, and cash activity.
• Maintain accurate investor, fund, and transaction records and documentation.
• Assist with fund accounting activities, including reconciliations and general ledger.
• Support quarterly and annual investor and fund reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax accountants, and other third parties.
• Work with finance, accounting, legal, and compliance teams to support fund operations and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for fund managers and investors, providing updates.
• Build and maintain client and investor relationships with professional service.
• Coordinate investor onboarding and subscription documentation.
• Maintain organized fund and investor records and assist with ad hoc fund administration and Capital Formation initiatives.
• Review wire payments and transfers.
• Complete AML and KYC procedures.
