Job description

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate for its New York, New York location.

Duties:
  1. Analyze companies’ financial statements and perform valuations through Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, Comparable Companies, and Precedent Transactions, focusing on LATAM corporate and institutional clients and international corporations investing in Latin America.
  2. Perform financial modeling and assess valuation drivers considering Latin America’s economic dynamics.
  3. Conduct credit analysis of emerging markets companies, considering currency exposure, inflation, and political risks.
  4. Analyze structured finance products related to borrowing base facilities and trade finance.
  5. Support client development by creating detailed financial analyses, valuation models, and synergy analyses to guide pricing strategies.
  6. Execute IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, and Private Placements.
  7. Monitor macroeconomic factors in Latin America and domestic markets to anticipate trends.
  8. Utilize FactSet, Bloomberg Terminal, and Capital IQ for investment banking analyses.
  9. Manage team communications on M&A advisory, including preparing pitch materials, conflict clearance, NDAs, and business memos across industries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  10. Assist in preparing marketing materials and strategic approaches using microeconomic concepts.
  11. Evaluate legal documents such as non-binding offers, NDAs, and governance term sheets, considering local Latin American jurisdictions.
  12. Work on a hybrid schedule as permitted by Citi policies, within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in investment banking or related roles involving large corporate clients in LATAM, including valuation, credit analysis, financial modeling, and project management.
  • At least 1 year of experience executing IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, Private Placements, structured finance products, and using Capital IQ and FactSet.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Up to 5% travel required.
