Job summary

AssuredGuaranty is seeking a Staff Accountant in New York to review and reconcile investment accounting information, prepare monthly journal entries, and assist in the preparation of investment reports and analytics.

Responsibilities include daily trade activity reconciliation, par reconciliation with custodians, data integrity checks for monthly/quarterly closes, and supporting internal schedules and audits. Requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance and 2–3 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (investment accounting/operations is a plus).
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and reconciling daily trade activity.
• Reconciling par reconciliation between accounting system and custodian banks.
• Performing system data integrity checks prior to the monthly and quarterly close.
• Assist in preparing internal supporting schedules for both STAT and GAAP.
• Assist with audits of company records, working with internal and external auditors.
• Assisting managers and co-workers with special projects.
