Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an Investigator III for the San Antonio State Supported Living Center. The role conducts moderately complex investigations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and injuries, and prepares case reports for administrative hearings and possible court proceedings.

The investigator collaborates with HHSC-PI, law enforcement, and other agencies to ensure timely and compliant case handling.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates reportable incidents and injuries in the SSLC.
• Collects evidence, interviews witnesses, and documents findings.
• Prepares reports and presents findings at hearings or court proceedings.
• Coordinates with HHSC-PI, law enforcement, and other agencies as required.
• Assists with training and quality assurance of investigations.
