Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Investigator III at the Denton State Supported Living Center. You will perform moderately complex investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, collect and preserve evidence, and prepare comprehensive reports for review and hearings.

The role requires collaboration with HHSC, OIG, and other agencies, plus participation in root cause analyses and incident management activities, including after-hours on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Experience in investigative work or quality assurance reviews encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation (ANE).
• Prepare reports and present testimony at hearings or court proceedings.
• Coordinate with HHSC, OIG, and other agencies on investigations.
• Assist with training and root cause analysis meetings.
