Specialized Experience GS-12. Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (or comparable private-sector experience). Qualifying experience includes: conducting complex investigations and/or financial examinations related to civil actions; knowledge of public healthcare programs, the statutory and regulatory provisions governing such programs, and/or methods to identify fraud, waste, and abuse within such programs; selecting interviewees and conducting interviews of witnesses; performing quantitative, qualitative or other analysis of relevant facts; coordinating investigatory activities with, and otherwise liaising with, other federal or state agencies; preparing investigative opinions that require use of considerable judgement and discretion; conducting case investigations independently, as a lead investigator or as a team member; or reviewing, analyzing, organizing, and summarizing voluminous and complex documents and data.
