Job summary

The City of New York’s Office of the Inspector General for the NYPD seeks an Investigative Analyst to examine NYPD operations, policies and practices. You will identify concerns with a data-driven approach and develop reform recommendations based on research findings and best practices.

You will also monitor and publish reports on implementation and triage public complaints, working with fellow analysts and attorneys in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or GED with four years of related investigation-related experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the above.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, review, study, or audit NYPD operations, policies, programs and practices.
• Identify policy and practice concerns using data-driven analysis and develop reforms.
• Monitor and publish public reports on implementation of Office recommendations.
• Triage public complaints and collaborate with analysts and attorneys.
