Qualifications

  • Experience: conducting criminal or fraud investigations; reviewing and analyzing financial records; providing testimony in court related situations.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and evaluates complaints and inquiries regarding the practice and related activities of licensed and unlicensed practitioners and assigns complaints, inspections and other work to staff and/or refers to other entities to investigate
  • Reviews and evaluates inspection and investigative output
  • Assists the boards’ administrative prosecutors and/or legal authorities in case preparation
  • Identifies and schedules appropriate training
  • Makes recommendations for hires
  • Evaluates performance of investigators and inspectors
  • Regularly meets with investigators and inspectors located in the office and around the state and provides guidance with investigation strategies and inspections
  • Interprets and applies laws and regulations and explains them to others
  • Develops and maintains investigative and inspection policies and procedures
  • Prepares reports

The Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses provides consumer protection and public safety through its regulation of more than 275,000 licensees within 42 Boards and Commissions for the great State of Idaho.

This Investigations Supervisor position is a great opportunity for a professional who's looking to provide consumer protection and public safety for all Idahoans.This position will supervise the Investigations team.

Example of Duties:

  • Reviews and evaluates complaints and inquiries regarding the practice and related activities of licensed and unlicensed practitioners and assigns complaints, inspections and other work to staff and/or refers to other entities to investigate
