Job summary

TMEIC Corporation in Roanoke, VA seeks a Laboratory Test Engineer to develop, execute, and document tests for certification and validation of low and medium-voltage inverters.

You will design and maintain electrical and environmental test setups, operate data acquisition equipment, analyze results, and prepare formal reports for certifying agencies.

Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally, and uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering or related field; or equivalent by experience.
• 2 years of commissioning, testing, or certifying LV/MV inverters.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute test plans for electrical and environmental test setups for LV/MV inverters.
• Design, build, and maintain electrical and environmental test setups for testing LV/MV inverters.
• Operate and maintain test equipment including AC/DC power sources, load banks, data acquisition equipment, and environmental chambers.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test results; prepare recommendations.
• Maintain records of test activities, configurations, results, and observations.
