Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Abilene, TX is seeking a Warehouse Specialist I to join the Central Supply team. The role focuses on inventory control, receiving, storage, and delivery of supplies to state facilities in Texas.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities including data entry, ticket verification, and use of forklifts and pallet jacks to move stock. Growth opportunities are available within the HHSC system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Experience with inventory control or warehouse software is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular and predictable work schedule and perform duties as assigned.
• Process picking tickets and verify items to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Load/unload stock with lifting equipment and stage items for dispatch.
• Enter data into inventory and financial systems and assist with counts.
• Support COOP activities and other duties as assigned.
