Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist I for the Big Spring State Hospital facility. This entry‑level role focuses on inventory control, order fulfillment, and safe handling of materials with daily tasks using handheld devices and lift equipment.

The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, with a 8am–5pm schedule, and offers opportunities to grow within the Supply Services team across state facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Experience using inventory control software or similar systems.
• Warehouse/inventory control experience preferred.
• Forklift and material handling equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular, predictable schedule and perform duties as assigned.
• Process picking tickets and perform bin picking and delivery.
• Operate lifting equipment, load/unload stock and deliver to units.
• Enter data into inventory and CAPPS Financial systems.
• Participate in COOP activation and maintain a safe environment.
