Job summary

KIHOMAC is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Layton, Utah. The role involves verifying shipments, packing, moving items to storage, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, perform cycle counts, and uphold 5S standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Verify shipment details, assist with packaging items, move items to storage areas, inspect items for shipment quality and escalate defects.
  • Receive, store, and track shipments; perform data entry and maintain inventory records.
  • Maintain inventory items; operate pallet jacks, powered lifts, forklifts and general warehouse equipment.
  • Perform inventory picks to ensure correct quantity, quality and traceability of items.
  • Use hand/power tools to open/seal crates and containers.
  • Perform cycle counts monthly, quarterly and annually as required.
  • Maintain 5S – Safe and Clean work environment; support a productive, safe culture.
  • Assist with resolution of warehouse and inventory-related issues; maintain excellent attendance.

Job description

Expertise and Functions
  • Verify shipment details, assist with packaging items, move items to storage areas, inspect the quality of items for shipment, and elevate defective products to management for action
  • Receive, store, and track shipments of goods and materials, perform data entry in inventory management software, and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Maintain inventory items in warehouse, operate pallet jacks, powered lifts, forklifts, and general warehouse tools and equipment
  • Perform inventory picks of parts and materials for orders and ensure the correct quantity, quality, and traceability of all items
  • Utilize hand tools and appropriate materials to open and seal crates, boxes, and other containers
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, or as required by management
  • Maintain 5S – Safe and Clean work environment
  • Contribute to a productive, safe, and fun culture
  • Assist with resolution of warehouse and inventory-related issues
  • Report to work on time and maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is available to both First and Second shift.

Education/Training:
  • High School diploma required
  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline desired
Experience:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn and operate inventory management software
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time

Salary:

The projected salary range for this position is $22$28/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
