Job summary

Georgia Tech seeks a skilled Inventory/Asset Coordinator to manage receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory and equipment. You will routinely interact with property control and GT/GTRI staff, advising on handling and distribution.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, inspecting incoming goods, and maintaining asset records. This role offers growth within a busy university setting and requires strong organizational skills and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma.
• Three to four years job related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP software experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule internal and external inventory/equipment moves and determine efficient protocols.
• Prepare outgoing shipments: packing, boxing, labeling, scanning, sorting, and storage; manage freight and courier as needed.
• Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for damage; sort, store, and scan items.
• Monitor inbound/outbound shipments during transit and update records.
• Place assets into storage and manage/track relocation or removal of assets.
• Transfer equipment from department to surplus inventory.
• Coordinate Internal Parts Management Database and respond to inquiries about receipt or distribution of materials.
• Provide administrative logistical support and represent the unit at Asset Management meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
