Position Overview and Purpose

The purpose of the Inventory Control Supervisor is to oversee the Inventory Control Coordinator and Inventory Control Lead performances, ensuring an accurate perpetual inventory. This includes assisting in conducting cycle counts, identifying, researching, and resolving product count inaccuracies to maintain data integrity. The employee must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, maintain the expected work pace, and meet minimum productivity guidelines set by Arcadia.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

• Supervise processes related to maintaining an accurate perpetual inventory, product line information accuracy, and remedy of inaccuracies.
• Schedule and supervise workforce to meet daily operational demands, including training, verifying certifications, monitoring individual productivity levels.
• Motivate the workforce, communicate growth opportunities, implement corrective measures, and provide performance reviews.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies, communicate with various levels of Arcadia personnel and customers, and apply conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Generate, use, and document reports to monitor operations, research failures, and report on objectives, throughput, and KPIs.
• Analyze unresolved inventory imbalances.
• Monitor product integrity by verifying temperature, refrigeration operation, and ensuring cold chain continuity.
• Evaluate slotting to optimize operations across Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping.
• Perform cycle counts and root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, proposing solutions to management.
• Ensure safety and compliance with PPE, OSHA, and food handling regulations, updating training as needed.
• Communicate and address concerns from other departments, staff, and customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 2-4 years’ related experience, or a high school diploma plus 4-5 years of college and experience.
• Accounting experience is preferred; proficiency in English and math skills for data analysis and pallet calculations.
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
• Experience with slot picking programs and computer-based timekeeping systems is preferred.
• Certified powered industrial truck (PIT) operator experience preferred; certification must be obtained within 90 days if not already certified.
• Strong sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication skills.
• High attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System preferred; proficiency required within 90 days if not already known.
