Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking an Inventory Specialist for Vendor Managed Inventory support in Texas. You will manage ordering, replenishment, and reporting at customer locations, while analyzing sales data to prevent stock-outs and support service levels.

Responsibilities include forecasting activities, audits, and collaboration with customer contacts to ensure compliance with VMI processes. Travel to client sites is expected as needed and you’ll contribute to inventory optimization efforts.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, parts operations, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and replenishment principles.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and sales data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficient problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customer contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and VMI operating procedures.
  • Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.

Job description

The Inventory Specialist Vendor Managed I is responsible for managing and replenishing inventory at assigned customer locations. This position develops familiarity with customer organizations, inventory requirements, processes, and procedures while ensuring inventory availability and service excellence. The role operates within established Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes and customer agreements.
