Job summary

Quantix SCS, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Specialist to count, report, reconcile, and optimize inventory in the warehouse. You will collaborate across departments to adjust inventory in the WMS and investigate discrepancies, reporting audits and maintaining accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma, experience with WMS, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Prior shipping/receiving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
  • Basic data entry skills for inventory tracking.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Preferred: experience in shipping & receiving operations.
  • 3+ years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking inventory.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to plan and organize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inventory counts of warehouse materials and report results.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies by tracking product movements in the WMS.
  • Document and report inventory audit findings to track accuracy trends.
  • Follow up on outstanding inventory issues to align physical inventory with system records.
  • Lead and participate in customer-organized inventory audits with count sheets and results processing.
  • Maintain communication with internal teams while managing inventory processes.

Description

The Inventory Specialist role is responsible for physically counting, reporting, reconciling, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in daily operations. The Inventory Specialist will collaborate with various departments to adjust inventory levels in the warehouse management system and investigate discrepancies. This position reports to the Operations Manager and oversees all inventory-related tasks.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct regular inventory counts of warehouse materials and report results systematically.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies by tracking product movements in the warehouse management system.
  • Document and report inventory audit findings to track accuracy trends.
  • Follow up on outstanding inventory issues to ensure discrepancies are resolved and physical inventory aligns with system records.
  • Lead and participate in customer-organized inventory audits by preparing count sheets, instructing teams, and processing audit results.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal teams while managing inventory processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
  • Basic data entry skills for inventory tracking.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking inventory.

  • Capability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Ability to sit and use hands/fingers for data entry and inventory management tasks.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as required by inventory handling duties.
  • Stand for multiple hours throughout the workday.
