Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support the maintenance and operation of our Utility and Janitorial Warehouses. You will respond promptly to internal customers, vendors, and delivery personnel, and be on-call every other week to issue inventory.

Key duties include receiving and staging shipments, rotating stock, issuing parts to departments, and performing cycle counts. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are preferred to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in warehousing is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and organizing warehouses and yard.
• Unload shipments with forklift; verify quantities against packing slips.
• Place checked-in shipments in designated stock locations and rotate stock oldest first.
• Issue parts to internal departments with accurate ticketing.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Be on-call every other week to issue inventory after hours.
• Follow safety policies and assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Summary

Assists with the maintenance and operation of the Utility and Janitorial Warehouses. Responds to internal customers, vendors, and delivery personnel in a prompt and courteous manner. On-call every other week to issue inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining supply warehouses, supply yard, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
• Offloads incoming shipments, using a forklift when needed. Verify quantities received to packing slip, bill of lading, or other shipment record, noting any count discrepancies or damage to shipment on the shipment record prior to submitting to the Warehouse Coordinator for processing.
• As directed by Warehouse Coordinator, locates checked-in shipments to designated stock locations, ensuring stock is rotated so oldest items are issued first.
• Issues parts to internal departments, maintaining accuracy of information contained on the issue tickets.
• Completes cycle counts of inventory, comparing system recorded quantities to stock available in the warehouse.
• Works with Warehouse Coordinator to reconcile any identified inventory differences.
• On-call/standby every other week to issue inventory after hours, schedule may be adjusted based on organizational demands.
• Responds to inventory needs promptly (30mins) when scheduled for on-call/standby shifts.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Coordinator or department leaders, including making miscellaneous deliveries, shredding, etc.
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Forklift driving experience
• Knowledge of water and sewer supplies.
