Job summary

Final Mile is seeking an Inventory Specialist to handle clerical inventory duties, respond to emails/voicemails, and assist with order tracking and routing questions. The role emphasizes organization, time management, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work with shipping documents. Schedule is Monday through Saturday with specific hours and a weekend rotation.

  • Ability to handle heavy workload and work well under pressure
  • Understanding of industry documents (bill of lading, master airway bills, TSA forms, etc.)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Must be able to pass basic hazardous materials training

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming customer calls and provide detailed information
  • Participate in afternoon check-in of delivery teams

  • Maintain files in order and as outlined in the operations procedures and policy manual
  • Consistently monitor e-mail requests and provide detailed information in a timely fashion

Job description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing the clerical inventory duties. This candidate will respond to emails and voicemails concerning orders, issue resolution, shipment tracking, routing questions and customer requests in a timely manner. She/he must have excellent organizational skills handling files, time management and the ability to meet deadlines.

Schedule: (Off Saturday and Sunday)

Monday-Wednesday, and Friday-Saturday: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Pay:

$18.51 per hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming customer calls and provide detailed information

  • The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Forklift and general freight handling knowledge
