Job summary

Dead River Company is hiring an Inventory Specialist at our Vermont location. You will process daily inventory requests and transactions, help maintain accurate financial information, and support policy implementation for inventory systems.

The role collaborates with a team to develop procedures, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. Prior office experience preferred, including basic accounting concepts.

Qualifications

• Investigative technique, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Place parts orders for upcoming jobs, technician vehicles, and inventory stock.
• Perform counter sales and assist customers as needed.
• Process parts receiving and reconcile discrepancies between packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Maintain inventory records, including order quantities, preferred vendors, and pricing.
• Assist with daily and monthly inventory reporting and reconciliation tasks.
• Organize and label parts within the warehouse to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to team projects, offering creative solutions and ideas for improvement.
• Complete cycle counts and full inventory for trucks, warehouses, and other locations.
• Act as a backup for other department team members and assist other departments as needed.
• Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining systems inventory control.
• Participates in special projects as needed.
