Job summary

Houston Food Bank is seeking an Inventory Associate to support daily warehouse operations in Houston, TX. You will assist with receiving, order selecting, cycle counts, tagging, and proper bin placement while upholding our service standards.

The role requires reliable attendance, basic math, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to work in temperature-controlled environments. Prior experience in food warehousing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in receiving or other inventory/warehousing-related work.
• Experience in food warehousing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance and punctuality for daily operations.
• Assist with receiving, cycle counts, and bin slotting.
• Tag and locate products with barcodes in bin locations.
• Support sanitation and clean work environment in the warehouse.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to management.
• Operate warehouse machinery and assist with general warehouse tasks.
