Job summary

Aapstaff is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate records and support warehouse operations for timely receipt, storage, and distribution of fresh products. The role emphasizes cycle counting, discrepancy investigations, and coordination with production, shipping, and receiving teams to uphold inventory accuracy and efficiency.

The position requires attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems in a fast-paced refrigerated warehouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous inventory control, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and data entry accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management and inventory control systems.
• Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Verify incoming and outgoing product quantities and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
• Monitor stock levels and report inventory issues to management.
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Generate inventory reports and maintain detailed records.
• Ensure proper product rotation and compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Assist with warehouse organization and storage optimization.
• Follow food safety, quality, and company procedures while handling inventory.
