Job summary

North Texas Food Bank in Dallas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storing, inventory, order selecting, shipping, and quality control in a fast-paced warehouse. The role requires a High School diploma (GED preferred), 3 months of warehouse experience, and experience with shipping/receiving; candidates should be able to operate electric pallet jacks and reach forklifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of warehouse experience and/or training.
• Shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
• Experience operating pallet jack and forklift equipment preferred, safety training valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving processes including counting, sorting, order selecting, loading, and unloading.
• Read and assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves.
• Sort and place materials on racks or shelves by date received.
• Assist agencies picking up orders by loading product into their vehicles using handling equipment.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and forklifts to load/unload freight up to 50 pounds.
• Complete required equipment checklists and obtain supervisor sign-off.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in physical counts.
• Meet metrics for average loading/unloading times.
• Tag items within 4 hours of receipt.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with NTFB policies.
