Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is hiring an Inventory Specialist to support the Coastal/United States operations. The role focuses on finished goods inventory control, ERP posting, and cross‑functional coordination to meet customer demands efficiently.

The position requires at least 2 years in manufacturing, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. Extensive inventory procedures, quarterly counts, and FIFO practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong analytical skills to gather data and report findings.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control of finished goods and accuracy checks.
• Daily verification and reconciliation of inventory.
• Report quality issues and shortages to appropriate teams.
• Conduct quarterly inventories and weekly counts.
• Reconcile receiving/purchasing docs and distribute to accounting.
• Ensure deliveries are received and posted in the ERP system.
• Monitor daily material movement for production usage.
• Coordinate min/max levels with accounting and plant management.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and report to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Implement FIFO for finished goods and maintain inventory procedures.
