Job summary

Walgreens in Toledo, OH is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage store inventory across front-end and pharmacy. You will implement best practices, monitor stock levels, and support receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.

This role focuses on planograms compliance, on-shelf availability, reports and system usage to ensure accurate pricing and on-hand balances, plus asset protection and store opening/closing when needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and SOPs for the full store, including front end and pharmacy.
• Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
• Champion On-Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes.
• Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.
• Review and coordinate the use of reports and systems affecting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
• Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, damaged goods, or unbilled items.
• In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups.
