Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training on inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensures on-shelf availability and validates planogram accuracy.
- Reviews and coordinates reports and system applications impacting inventory accuracy, on-hand balances, and pricing.
- Implements asset protection techniques, files claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, manages opening and closing procedures, including system start-ups, cash handling, cashier duties, and store readiness.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers proactively, resolving issues and ensuring a positive experience. Shares customer service best practices with team members.
Operations
- Coaches team on inventory management, including creating and receiving orders.
- Manages deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and contacts vendors for discrepancies.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments and postings, manages inventory activities, and completes scan outs and returns.
- Supports pharmacy inventory, pricing activities, and maintains accurate counts and compliance with laws.
- Prepares for inventory, maintains records, and supports store cleanliness and merchandising.
- Assists with package delivery activities and supports the Pickup Program.
- Serves as leader on duty when required, managing POS transactions and customer service activities.
Training & Personal Development
- Attends training sessions, completes e-learning modules, and maintains required certifications.
Communications
- Acts as liaison for inventory system training, communicates tasks, and reports issues to management.
Qualifications
- Six months of Walgreens experience or one year retail experience.
- Fluent in English (except Puerto Rico).
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Positive performance review and no disciplinary actions in past 12 months.
- Attention to detail, multitasking, operational problem-solving skills.
