Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training on inventory best practices and SOPs across the store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensures on-shelf availability and validates planogram accuracy.
- Reviews and coordinates reports and system applications impacting inventory accuracy and pricing for both front end and pharmacy.
- Maintains asset protection techniques, files claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, manages opening and closing procedures, including system start-ups, cash handling, cashier duties, and store readiness.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers proactively, resolves issues, and models service best practices to ensure a positive experience.
Operations
- Executes and coaches on inventory management processes, including order creation, review, and receipt.
- Manages deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes corrective actions for delivery issues.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments, completes postings, and reports shortages or damages.
- Completes end-to-end On-Shelf Availability (OSA) processes, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
- Performs pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, returns, and transfers, under pharmacist supervision.
- Handles pricing activities, including price changes and markdowns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supports ordering processes, monitors excess orders, and maintains inventory accuracy.
- Updates and manages on-hands for pull & quarantine items.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts across departments, stockroom, and overstock areas.
- Prepares for physical inventory, supports inventory day activities, and maintains store cleanliness and merchandising.
- Supports store systems, equipment, and package delivery activities, including the Pickup Program.
- When on duty, manages POS activities, including scanning errors, product returns, and customer transactions.
- Ensures compliance with policies, maintains respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Participates in training, completes e-learning modules, and maintains necessary certifications/licenses.
Communications
- Acts as a liaison for inventory system training and development, communicates tasks and issues to management.
Qualifications
- Six months of Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Positive performance review and no disciplinary actions in the past year (internal candidates).
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and operational problem-solving skills.
