Responsibilities
- Execute, monitor, and train on inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Support pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensure On-Shelf Availability and validate planogram accuracy.
- Review reports and system applications to maintain accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Implement and maintain asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, open and close the store as needed, handling system start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and preparing the floor and stock room for business.
Customer Experience
- Engage customers, greet them, and assist with products and services. Lead on customer issues when serving as the leader on duty.
- Model customer service best practices to deliver a positive experience, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive service traits.
Operations
- Coach team members on inventory management processes, including order creation, review, and receipt.
- Manage deliveries, including scanning, marking as received, and contacting vendors for discrepancies.
- Verify pharmacy shipments and complete related inventory activities, including recalls, vendor returns, and damage assessments.
- Complete on-shelf availability processes, disposals, vendor returns, and pharmacy inventory tasks.
- Support pricing activities, including changes and markdowns, and monitor pharmacy orders for excess.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in physical inventory preparations and support store cleanliness and merchandising.
- Serve as a point-of-sale operator when designated, handling transactions and returns.
- Follow company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training sessions, complete e-learning modules, and obtain/maintain required licenses/certifications.
Communications
- Act as a liaison between management and staff, communicate tasks, and report issues. Meet experience and language requirements, and be flexible with work hours.
Qualifications include prior retail or Walgreens experience, language proficiency, flexibility, and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience and prior Walgreens employment. Walgreens considers applicants with criminal records and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
