Marine Lumber & Decking Supply LLC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely shipping and receiving, and supporting day-to-day warehouse functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, be familiar with warehouse processes, and possess a proactive, hands-on approach to inventory and logistics support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular and accurate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Track, receive, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of received materials and outgoing shipments.
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes, including preparing items for shipment and coordinating with carriers.
• Support equipment issuance and maintain accurate records of tools and supplies issued to team members.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to initiate replenishment orders for inventory as needed.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies and report or investigate inventory issues promptly.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified).
• Assist in implementing and improving inventory management processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or inventory/logistics training a plus.
• 2+ years of inventory control, shipping/receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proficient with inventory systems, Microsoft Excel, and warehouse tracking software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with construction or lumber materials is a plus.
• Experience with basic purchasing processes or working with vendors.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

This role is based in a warehouse environment and may involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and heavy materials.
