Maker's Pride in Michigan City, IN, seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accuracy of inventory across ingredients, packaging, WIP and finished goods. You will lead cycle counts, reconcile production orders and investigate variances to prevent material loss.

On 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) or 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am), this role partners with cross-functional teams to keep inventory reliable and aging risks low. Equal opportunity employer.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in inventory control and cycle counting is expected.
• Familiarity with SAP and manual data entry required.

Responsible for maintaining accuracy of all inventory (ingredients, packaging, WIP, finished goods) in Michigan City in MB1, MB2 and storage trailers. Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and work cross functionally to resolve. Proactively work to prevent unnecessary aging of materials to prevent loss. Lead by example, train material handlers on cycle counting effectively and educate on the importance of inventory accuracy. Conduct regular cycle counts and update perpetual inventory. Reconcile production orders for accurate Finished good production and material consumption.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday from 2:00pm - 10:00pm

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday from 10:00pm - 6:00am

Job Duties

• Point person for day-to-day inventory issues supporting assigned shift.
• Perform daily cycle counting as assigned and enter cycle count corrections as directed.
• Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for solutions to recurring problems.
• Account for all production usages for each production run, check for variances/errors during reconciliation.
• Respond to count requests from various departments promptly depending on priority.
• Resolve blocked quants in a timely manner.
• Attend drumbeats to discuss any Inventory Control issues that are being caused by other departments not following correct processes.
• Investigate and resolve any negative quantities showing in all systems.
• Conduct 3PL warehouse reconciliation on a weekly basis (if applicable).
• Provide backup support in tracking and maintaining inventory accuracy for cycle count and HTL (High Traffic Location) accuracy.
• Provide backup support in completing daily/weekly reporting when other personnel are absent.
• Assist with ensuring accuracy of cycle count transactions.
• Provide backup support for execution of dispositions after material(s) have been physically removed from warehouse, removing material from SAP. May have to produce AoD(Affidavit of Destruction).
• Provide backup support to monitor HTL (High Traffic Location) areas and send out daily emails to departments that need to follow up on pallets sitting longer than 24 hours.
• Provide backup support in performing CHEP/PECO weekly/monthly reconciliation.
• Provide backup support in performing KANBAN, TANK and MISC reconciliation.
• Attend drumbeats to discuss any Inventory Control issues that are being caused by other departments not following correct processes.
• May include additional duties assigned by Manager.
