Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Ensures On-Shelf Availability and manages all in-store inventory processes. Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms.
- Reviews and coordinates the use of reports and system applications impacting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Implements and maintains asset protection techniques, files claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, opens and closes the store when required, handling systems start-up, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the store is ready for business.
Customer Experience
- Engages with customers by greeting and assisting them, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
- Executes and coaches team on warehouse and vendor inventory processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
- Scans all deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes appropriate actions for delivery accuracy.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments and postings, manages pharmacy inventory activities, and reports shortages or damages.
- Completes On-Shelf Availability (OSA) processes, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns before expiration.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, vendor returns, and transfers, and verifies pharmacy claims.
- Performs pricing activities, including changes, markdowns, and signage accuracy.
- Supports ordering for front end and pharmacy, monitors excess orders, and maintains inventory accuracy.
- Updates and manages pull & quarantine items, maintains accurate counts, and ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products.
- Prepares for and supports physical inventory activities, maintains store cleanliness and merchandising, and assists with package delivery activities and Pickup Program execution.
- Acts as leader on duty in designated stores, managing POS transactions, returns, refunds, and cash handling.
- Adheres to company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attends trainings, completes e-learning modules, and maintains necessary certifications or licenses.
Communications
- Serves as a liaison, coaching team members, communicating tasks, and reporting issues to management.
Qualifications
- Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
- Fluent in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Positive performance review and no recent disciplinary actions (internal candidates).
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, operational problem-solving skills.
