Job Title: Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing all vehicle inventory at the facility within company timelines. Using company-provided tools, the specialist will document vehicle conditions according to standards, including completing inventory and taking supporting photographs of each vehicle. They will also direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of incoming vehicles, utilizing a system of priorities. Additionally, by understanding Copart policies, the specialist will facilitate the customer experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.

  1. Monitor, maintain, and organize the receiving area.
  2. Operate cameras and handheld inventory devices to process incoming vehicles.
  3. Assess the operational capability of motor vehicles.
  4. Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) as required.
  5. Maintain inventory of all materials used.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
  • General automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Driver's license preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
