Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Ensures On-Shelf Availability and manages inventory processes including receiving, counting, pricing, and returns. Validates planogram accuracy.
- Reviews and coordinates the use of reports and system applications affecting front end and pharmacy inventory accuracy and pricing.
- Implements and maintains asset protection techniques, files claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, opens and closes the store, manages systems start-up, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensures readiness of the floor and stockroom.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers by greeting and assisting them. As leader on duty, resolves issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Models customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a delightful customer experience.
Operations
- Coaches team members on inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
- Manages deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes appropriate actions for delivery accuracy.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments, completes postings, and reports shortages or damages.
- Executes On-Shelf Availability processes, disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
- Completes pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, returns, and transfers, under pharmacist supervision.
- Handles pricing activities, including price changes and markdowns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supports ordering of expense items, monitors pharmacy orders, and maintains inventory levels.
- Updates and manages on-hands for pull & quarantine items.
- Ensures accurate inventory counts and maintains compliance with laws for regulated products.
- Maintains inventory records, prepares for physical inventories, and supports store cleanliness and merchandising.
- Supports package delivery activities and the Pickup Program.
- As leader on duty, manages POS transactions, returns, refunds, and cash handling.
- Adheres to company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Participates in company training, completes e-learning modules, and maintains required certifications.
Communications
- Acts as liaison between management and staff, coaching on inventory systems, communicating tasks, and reporting issues.
Qualifications
- Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Achieved expectations in last performance review, with no disciplinary actions in past 12 months (internal candidates).
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and operational problem-solving skills.
