Job summary

AMTRACO is seeking a Route Sales Driver to support customers across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. You will maintain inventories, process orders, respond to inquiries, and help build lasting relationships while traveling extensively.

Position compensation includes base pay, monthly commission, and quarterly bonuses. The role requires strong organizational and communications skills and a willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of related experience and/or training.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in office equipment and software (word processing, spreadsheets, database applications).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the designated region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled inventories for existing customers and obtain purchase orders to maintain stock.
• Organize, label, and cycle inventory in customer storage areas.
• Respond to questions about products, pricing, availability, and product use within your authority.
• Process incoming orders for your territory, up-selling when possible, and notify the territory representative of key activities.
• Work closely with outside sales representatives to understand customer needs and prepare samples.
• Investigate and help resolve product claims and complaints, recommending corrective actions as appropriate.
• Prepare and submit regular activity, sales volume, and expense reports.
