Job summary

ITW Shakeproof is seeking a Receiving Clerk for the Elgin, IL facility to support inventory accuracy and material movement. The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, ERP transactions, and coordination with production and vendors.

The position is onsite, Monday–Friday, with a standard daytime schedule. Candidates should have 1–3 years in a warehouse or distribution environment and be comfortable with data entry in ERP systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with QAD preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Maintain inventory accuracy by locating inventory, processing corrections, and updating records.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to support control.
Process routing and BOM adjustments within the ERP system as required.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Create production IDs, purchase orders, and material transactions to support operations.
Issue materials to production IDs and maintain inventory records.
Coordinate shipments to and from external vendors.
Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Maintain safety compliance and housekeeping standards.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in inventory and logistics.
