Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise, and support stocking and merchandising in the store. You will help ensure accurate receiving, stock levels, and orderly displays while following SOPs and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to support various departments. Training and cross-training opportunities are provided as part of our associates-first culture.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and efficiency.
• Proven track record of accurate, error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchase order processing by following SOPs.
• Utilize scan guns and computer-based software to ensure accurate receipt documentation.
• Monitor daily purchase order and DC shortages, communicating discrepancies.
• Maintain thorough records by daily filing of receiving paperwork.
• Contribute to efficient DC truck sorting and verify vendor price tags.
• Implement security tag placement and price labeling per SOP for apparel items.
