Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. You will receive shipments, process orders, verify inventory, and replenish stock on the sales floor.

Responsibilities include using scan guns and computer systems to document receipts, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining neat, safe receiving areas. Prior experience with PO processing and store transfers is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, or related experience.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders per SOPs.
• Document receipts and inventory using scan guns/computer systems.
• Identify discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor data.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and investigate negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with floor inventory during busy periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow tagging, labeling, and stock-level procedures; operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving area and cooperate with other store departments.
