The Brattleboro Food Co-op is seeking a Receiver II to help manage incoming inventory and ensure accurate delivery processing. You will greet shoppers, verify counts, and coordinate with departments to place items on time.

The role emphasizes reliability and customer-friendly service within a community-owned store. Qualified candidates lift up to 50 lbs, work evenings and weekends, and maintain a safe, clean receiving area.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs continuously.
• Comfort working in walk-in coolers/freezers and seasonal temperatures.
• Strong attention to detail for order verification.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Friendly and cooperative demeanor with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Unload and verify deliveries and scan into POS.
• Operate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, balers.
• Sign for deliveries and note discrepancies.
• Move products to departments within time windows.
• Assist customers during shift and support backstock movement.
• Report safety concerns to Receiving Manager.
