Job summary

HEICO is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory & Procurement Specialist to support material availability and inventory performance across our operations. This hourly entry level role collaborates with a team to manage suppliers, materials, and inventory performance, ensuring production demands are met with optimized stock levels.

The position emphasizes purchasing execution and inventory control, requiring strong Excel skills and ERP/MRP proficiency for accurate records and timely procurement

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency in Excel or similar data tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and issues.
• Expedite materials to prevent production disruptions.
• Support cost, lead time, and MOQ improvements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and system transactions.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and adjust min/max or safety stock as needed.
• Identify and manage excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Align purchasing activity with production schedules and demand.
• Ensure material availability to support operational needs.
• Balance inventory levels with service requirements.
• Partner with production, warehouse, and leadership to resolve material issues.
