Job summary

Pennsylvania Ag Connection in Souderton, PA is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support plant operations by maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, supplies and PPE. You will handle inventory transactions, receiving, cycle counts, data entry, and material distribution.

This role collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, Warehouse and Purchasing teams to ensure materials are available, inventory records are accurate, and purchasing procedures in SAP are followed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required by the position.
• Forklift certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and cyclical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Process receiving transactions and inventory issues within SAP; maintain records.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations and Purchasing to meet plant needs and drive improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S principles; support safety standards.
