Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking an Inventory & Procurement Supervisor to manage the Parts Room and related procurement activities in Mammoth Lakes, CA. The role ensures timely availability of parts, tools, and resources, while coordinating with Finance for invoicing and controls.

The position requires strong leadership, procurement, and inventory expertise, with a focus on process improvements and working closely with Garage Operations and department leadership. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in procurement or inventory management.
• 2+ years supervisory experience and a California driver’s license.
• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, invoicing and inventory control.
• Experience with D365, Medius, MaintainX.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and vendor relations.
• Safety practices in warehouse and parts room operations.

A little about this position:

• The Inventory & Procurement Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Parts Room and related procurement and administrative functions supporting Garage Operations.
• This position is responsible for inventory management, purchasing activities, invoice processing, vendor coordination, financial reconciliation, and management of Parts Room staff.
• The role serves as the primary liaison between Garage Operations and the Finance Department for billing inquiries, invoice reconciliation, purchasing controls, and inventory-related accounting matters.
• Working closely with department leadership, the Inventory & Procurement Supervisor ensures the timely availability of parts, tools, equipment, and operational resources while supporting budget administration, vehicle maintenance scheduling, timekeeping administration, and continuous process improvement initiatives throughout the Garage.

Requirements:

• Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, fleet maintenance support, parts management, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience. Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Comprehensive knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, and vendor management practices.
• Knowledge of accounting principles related to purchasing, billing, invoice processing, and inventory reconciliation. Ability to administer procurement workflows, receiving processes, purchase orders, invoice approvals, and inventory controls through D365, Medius, MaintainX, and related systems.
• Ability to analyze inventory trends, spending patterns, and operational data to support decision-making.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with vendors, Finance, Operations, and departmental stakeholders.
• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to supporting internal business partners.
• Ability to supervise, coach, train, and develop employees.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting tools.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational efficiencies.
• Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures related to warehouse and parts room operations.
• Preferred:
• Associate's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience working within equipment maintenance, fleet maintenance, transportation, construction, ski industry operations, or similar environments.
• Experience utilizing D365, Medius, MaintainX, or other enterprise resource planning and maintenance management software.
• Forklift Operator Certification and Propane Dispensing Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Hourly pay rate: $33.03-$36.06
