Ulta Beauty in Bolingbrook, Illinois is seeking a Manager, Inventory Planning to lead a team of analysts, optimize inventory across stores and e-commerce, and ensure forecasts drive purchasing and replenishment.

The role partners with Merchants, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance to align inventories with category strategies and business priorities. Strong analytics and leadership are essential, with experience in forecasting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management or related roles.
• Exposure to multiple categories/channels is preferred; strong understanding of retail inventory operations.
• Experience leading or mentoring team members is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with KPI tracking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of inventory analysts responsible for purchasing and allocating inventory across stores and e-commerce channels.
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Demand Planning to translate forecasts into actionable inventory decisions.
• Integrate with merchant category pods to ensure forecast-to-buy translation and stocking execution.
• Ensure inventory optimizes demand, minimizes stockouts and overstock for omnichannel fulfillment.
• Monitor inventory performance, identify variances and risks, and lead corrective actions.
• Align inventory plans with category strategies and business objectives with Merchants, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Drive consistency in PO management, allocations and replenishment workflows.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and partners.
