Job summary

Grocery Outlet in Emeryville, CA is seeking an Inventory Planning professional to manage inventory health across store and warehouse. The role is hands-on, requiring quick decision-making and collaboration with buyers, planning teams, and store operators to optimize codes and turns.

The role reports to the Manager, Inventory Planning and emphasizes analytics, forecasting accuracy, and profitability through effective product allocation and planning.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and margins.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis (units, sales, and margin) for SKU’s, programs, categories, and recommend strategies to maximize revenue and turns.
• Manage departmental financial plans, Open-to-Buy, and analysis at the department, category and SKU level
• Assures the most appropriate inventory levels through careful planning and analysis of demand, usage, forecasts, industry trends
• Forecast accuracy on sales dollars, ads and case projections
• Present analytics and reports to various levels of management
• Manage inventory at warehouse level and coordinate transfers as needed
• Develop in-season pricing strategies with appropriate margin for discontinued inventories
