Job summary

Grocery-Outlet in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Senior Planner to manage end-to-end inventory across the supply chain, collaborating with Purchasing, Strategy, Logistics, Sales and Merchandising. You will lead a departmental planning team, mentor an Assistant Planner, and drive open-to-buy, stock levels, allocations, forecasting and financial planning to maximize sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Allocation, Financial Planning and Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Strategic thinker who can push the status quo and improve processes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in day-to-day inventory decisions including purchasing quantities, distributions, allocations and replenishment.
• Oversee department sales, profit, and inventory forecasting with Purchasing and Logistics.
• Review projections for consistency and strategic alignment.
• Advise on pricing decisions to support purchasing and distribution strategies.
• Manage and mentor an Assistant Planner and present analytics to stakeholders.
