Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking an Inventory Planner to support raw material and finished goods inventory management at its Ohio facility. You will collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics to maintain accurate, controlled inventories and support production schedules.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in supply chain roles, familiarity with SAP/ERP systems, and strong Excel skills. This full-time position offers growth within a leading roofing materials company and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years in supply chain, inventory, or similar role in manufacturing.
• Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on inventory levels and on-hand quantities to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy between system records and physical stock.
• Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO requirements.
• Identify and resolve simple discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
• Ensure inventory records are synchronized across business systems.
• Assist in documenting and reporting shipping errors.
• Identify and communicate obsolete, outdated, or slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with quality regarding red tag or off-spec material for segregation and disposition.
• Assist in generating regular inventory KPI reports for management.
• Follow established procedures to improve inventory management processes and increase efficiency.
