Job summary

IKG Corp. is seeking a skilled Materials/Inventory Planner to coordinate estimated materials with Engineering and Production in the ERP system, aligning usage with actual consumption. The role supports accurate inventory management and efficient project material flow.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in an MRP environment, strong procurement knowledge, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; four-year degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an MRP-based environment with inventory counting/reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of production, material control, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and market conditions.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all inventory transactions, including internal manufacturing consumption, external material purchases, and subcontracting costs.
  • Track materials as they move through manufacturing processes.
  • Improve procedures to ensure materials are issued correctly to projects and customer orders.
  • Lead semi-annual plant-wide inventory counts.
  • Coordinate material transfers and information with external suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production reporting with the Production department.
  • Other duties as assigned; manage Material Requisitions and purchasing for manufacturing supplies.
