Job summary

Premium Guard, Inc. is seeking an analytical Inventory Planner to support end-to-end supply chain planning in Memphis. The role focuses on forecasting, stock optimization and coordination with Sales and Customer Service for stock information.

Responsibilities include maintaining target and safety stock levels, expediting purchase orders, and ensuring SKU accuracy in collaboration with Operations. The ideal candidate has a B.S. in SCM and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in SCM, Logistics, Inventory Planning or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in inventory management and demand planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; Access is a plus.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills with inventory concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop category and SKU level inventory forecasts and plans.
• Analyze historical data and demand trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage and optimize inventory to meet service levels and reduce excess stock.
• Establish target stock, safety stock and surge stock levels.
• Timely ordering and follow-up of purchase orders for on-time delivery.
• Maintain SKU level inventory accuracy with Operations and Inventory Control team.
• Identify actions to move through excess inventory to maximize margin.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong work ethic and customer-first mindset who demonstrates leadership, collaborates effectively, prioritizes competing demands, and takes initiative to solve problems independently and as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop category and SKU level inventory forecasts and plans that meet the company’s objectives.Analyze historical data and current demand trends to identify opportunities and risks that would enhance the company’s performance.Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet service level goals while reducing excess inventory.Establish and maintain appropriate target stock levels, safety stock, and surge stock levelsTimely ordering and follow-up of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery from vendors.
